COMPELLING TESTIMONY AND INSIGHTFUL EXPERT COMMENTARY FROM DAY ONE
By: Richard G
Today marked the beginning of an important national citizens’ initiative and the first steps toward a formal public inquiry into government management of the COVID-19 crisis in Canada. Students, professionals, lawyers, and doctors from myriad cultural and political backgrounds gathered in person in downtown Toronto and remotely from all over the country to share their own touching stories in the wake of two years of damaging public health policy. One common thread among them revealed how much more destructive was Canada’s COVID response than the threat it supposedly aimed to combat.
Among the speakers were several Canadian university students forced out of their programs for declining to receive a COVID-19 injection. Others included nurses forced out of their profession, pastors, and religious leaders unable to obtain medical exemptions on Charter-protected religious grounds, and aviation and military personnel coerced into taking mandatory injections.
Moderator Trish Wood and the hearing’s panel, consisting of former federal opposition leader, Preston Manning, Canadian Covid Care Alliance president and CPA, David Ross, and Dr. Susan Natsheh explored many of the key issues raised by these personal testimonials, examining them from different angles. It quickly became apparent that the social, economic, and personal impacts of public health policy in Canada were far-reaching and beyond devastating in many cases.
Among the many experts to provide their professional testimony were Irvin Studen, lawyers James Kitchen, Leighton Grey, Allan Rouben, Sam Presvelos, and Leslie Smith, and Dr. Steven Pelech. The hearings are set to continue all day tomorrow and Friday with testimony from Canadian doctors regarding sanctions they faced from professional colleges. Others will be discussing the impacts of COVID policy on children, vaccine injuries, the regulatory approval process of drugs and biologics in Canada, and the implications rooted in international law.
